Installing the Desktop App

  1. Install the Desktop App

    1. Click here to download the Installer

    2. Run the installer after it finishes downloading

  2. Connect Sportsman to your database

    1. Launch the newly installed Desktop App

    2. Enter your connection information Reference Image 1
      (don't include the "<>" in your connection settings)

      1. If you don't already have the connection information for your server, contact our support team at 801-572-3570 opt 2

      2. Check all 3 boxes at the bottom of the "Advanced Settings"

      3. After entering all the connection settings, click [Test Connection] Reference Image 2

        1. If everything was entered correctly, you'll get a message saying "Successfully connected to server"

        2. Click "OK" to save your settings

    3. After clicking OK the connection settings will close.

    4. Relaunch the Sportsman Desktop App and log in

Install the Admittance Monitor

  1. Click here to download the Admittance Monitor

  2. Unzip the "admittance_monitor.zip" folder

  3. Copy/Paste the "admittance_monitor.exe" into the "SPORTSQL" directory

    1. File path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Peak Software Systems\SPORTSQL

  4. Create a shortcut for both the admittance.exe and admittance_monitor.exe and drag/drop the shortcuts onto your desktop Reference Image

    1. Windows 10:

      1. Right-click on the application

      2. Click "Create shortcut"

    2. Windows 11:

      1. Right-click on the application

      2. Click "Show more options"

      3. Click "Create shortcut"

Driver Install and Windows Configuration

  1. Plug your scanner into the computer

  2. Click here to download the USB Com driver

    1. Run the "SuperLead_UsbComDriver_V2.15.0.exe" application

  3. After installing the USB Com Driver, scan the QR Code "USB COM Port Emulation" in the attached image with your barcode scanner.

    1. If you'd like to adjust the volume, you can scan one of three barcodes at the bottom of the image.

Sportsman Configuration

Section 1:

  1. Open "Device Manager" and expand the "Ports" menu

  2. Find the COM Port for the "SuperLead 72 Series"

    1. You'll need this port number for the configuration in Sportsman

Section 2:

  1. Log into Sportsman Desktop

  2. Navigate to File > Workstation Configuration Reference Image 1

  3. Click the "Admittance" tab

  4. Choose "Bar Code Reader / Scanner" for your "Currently Selected Input Device"

  5. Check the "Auto select Attendance" checkbox

  6. Click the button [Configure Device & Station] Reference Image 2

  7. Select the "Port" from Section 1 step 2

  8. Click [+Add] and select the admission privileges accepted at this location

  9. Choose your "Entrance Location"

  10. [Test Barcode Scanner] Scan any barcode with your scanner Reference Image 3

  11. Click [Close]

  12. Click [OK]

  13. Launch the "Admittance Control" and the "Admittance Monitor" using the shortcuts you placed on your desktop
